Under 11 Colts

The Under 11 Colts recorded a fine 4-2 victory away at Thanet, with half of the team lost on route, we did not have time to prepare properly prior to kick off (note; must buy Darren a map). So the team were thrown in at the deep end, winning the coin toss we kicked down hill, with the wind, which helped us gain confidence. A fine corner by Casey Heyburn put their defence in trouble resulting in an own goal. Thanet found themselves stuck in their half as confidence grew and our back line held firm. Tom Larden and Ben Dawkins added further goals in the first period before our defence were breached due to a lack of understanding on the offside rule (play to the whistle!)

The second period was evenly played with Thanet pulling back to 2-3. We rode our luck before man of the match Tom Larden scored his second. A very enjoyable match played by two good groups. Lots to learn, but well done boys, a credit to your club.
